In regards to The Emperor’s New Groove DVDs. The post says they all use the same master, but from what I’ve heard there was some censorship at some point. There’s a scene where Kuzco throws a rock at Pacha that was later changed to an acorn. Many sources claim it was the 2005 DVD that made the change, but I bought the older 2-Disc DVD and the change was still there. I’ve seen footage of the rock variant, so does that mean it’s on the original single disc DVD?
You know what? I may be wrong. I’ve looked up VHS rips online and it’s still an acorn. It’s possible with the lower quality back then my mind filled in the gap and made me think it was a rock. I don’t know if there are any 35mm film scans to check, but it seems like a collective false memory as I am not the first to bring this up.
I checked my VHS copy of the film, and it seems to have the rock rather than the acorn.
It seems there were two versions of the film on VHS, and pardon the question, but do you live outside the USA? There have been differences across international versions before.

No, I do not live outside the USA. And if you’re wondering, the tape I looked at is also from the states, and was printed a good 2 months before it hit the shelves. I’m thinking that they could have switched the master in newer printings, and it just so happens that everyone who’s scanned it has had one of these newer tapes. I could be very wrong, though.
I also have an extremely rare rental exclusive copy of Emperor’s New Groove. I’ll check to see if it has a rock or an acorn.
